If you have the Taiwan National Health Insurance (NHI), it may partially cover your check-up, periodic prophylaxis and gum disease treatments. However, most of the advanced treatments including LASER, hard and soft tissue regeneration, microscopic surgeries, dental implants, and sedation, etc., are not covered by the NHI. Dr. Fu suggests you refer to your commercial insurance company to ask for the ratio, application procedures and time frame of the the fees reimbursement of each specific procedures.
